Our reviewer found it well-designed, sturdy and good quality, and loved the extra comfortable design and features like the 5-point harness to 25kg. I can easily lift it out and put it in my partners car and I don't have to worry about him fitting it correctly as it's so easy. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. Child car seat reviews - Which?

We are heading to Europe next month to visit my husbands family. Unfortunately the country we are headed to has incredibly lax car seat laws. Seats only until age 3 nothing after that ugh. I digress I am having some difficulty trying to figure out what seats for his family to purchase to have for us on arrival.

We are flying business class so, no seats on the plane. And I won't check a seat. My Ydd is almost 4, 32 lbs and wears a 4t shirt. Based on limited info, I have narrowed it down to 2 different kinderkraft seats the comfort or the smart. Does anyone know anything about theses seats? I am leaning towards the smart based on YouTube videos showing kids in them. My main concern is the harness height. She is well within the weight limits I have emailed no less than 4 companies trying to figure out harness heights on seats and have received no replies.

Doing my best to decipher information about the seats, both of them are group seats. In my experience, "name brand" group seats have a harness height of 17". But that is compared to a Britax or a Recaro.

I have never heard of Kinderkraft, and the ADAC doesn't test them so I can't tell you anything about the seats for sure except the weight limits due to the group ratings. It seems that's the best we are going to get.

She should fit in 17 inches. She still has one more notch to move up in her radian. I have been looking for at least a month now. Since we are only in need of the seat for 7 days I really didn't want to spend a ton of money. I'd love to try some of the European Britax, but at limited availability and 4x's the cost my husband said NO. Especially since his family thinks I'm nuts wanting a seat anyway and these seats will probably be trashed when we leave.

Most people don't even wear seatbelts, and they make driving on the LIE look like a vacation. Pre children I actually got out of the car and walked back to the hotel. It's been incredibly hard picking seats out. I can't believe how much more expensive they are. And how many are overhead shields! That blew my mind.. I really appreciate it. Are you sure you cant bring your seats or buy US travel seats such as the guide 65 for example on the plane with you?

I'd presonally feel more confident buying a guide 65 and even gate checking it than being not sure that the seat at my final destinatino would be the right size etc. Believe me that is what I initially wanted to do. I even was just going to ship a new in box, however the shipping and customs tax was more than the cost of the seat. Yup overhead shields, lots of them. We fly a lot and her standard travel seat is the maestro, lite weight and she can use the tray table.

I'm almost emotes to take the radian on board, since it folds flat, I wonder if it would fit in the overhead bin. Also his parents are getting it for us,we are paying,so we are limited in stores. Does that make sense? I'm almost tempted to take the radian on board, since it folds flat, I wonder if it would fit in the overhead bin. It should fit in the overhead bin of a wide-body aircraft.

If you are flying business class, you are allowed to take a total of 18 kg The Radian weighs about 25 lbs, right? Here is where I got that information from Air France. Although, I'm not sure I can convince my husband to carry it through the airport, we have an incredibly long layover in AMS going 5 hours and 3 hours in CDG coming home.
