    Now its very hard to dethrone them or try to convince people that MS make inferior cars. They trust them blindly, buy their cars with 6 months waiting period, get them with no disounts only to face rattling, poor driving dynamics and poor safety. I agree that the numbers is what finally matters, but still the heard mentality indeed plays a major role.

    Maruti has the largest service network in India and nobody can beat them on that. Probably that's the main reason they will remain on top of sales charts. There is one more perception that Maruti products are 'value for money'. Again, my views are different on that that front too.

    I am not referring to service costs here, but just the initial price points. For instance Maruti Dzire which is on top of sales chart always: On top of that there are loads of other features Harmon music system, bigger boot space etc.

    You can buy tank like VW Polo comfortline with german build, better ride, tightly screwed car whose quality is at par with Audi A1. Sad part in this country is - There are people who prefer turn indicators on mirrors over Airbags. I am not a Maruti basher, nor Hyundai or Tata,VW supporter, but these are my observations based on personal experiences.

    It has scored a zero. For decades now Maruti has been selling millions of unsafe entry level cars. The keep the mileage high Indians main concern sadly and reduce the weight , safety has been compromised. Traditionally MUL has been keeping sheet metal thin for this purpose.     Go for a car which is sold in developed countries too. Most of them have stricter safety regulations which are passed on to the same cars sold in India as well. European manufacturers tend to make their cars heavy. Japanese including Toyota make their cars light - but light does not mean weak. The car body needs to have crumple zones that will take the hit in case of a crash. We bash MS too much without proof. First let us define built quality and look for assessments on those.
