ZZR, a bike every learner is well aware of – maybe not the prettiest, DEFINITELY not the fastest, not the most comfortable – what does it.

She has awesome handling and is very light to be flicked around. If this is the case, I would recommend that you learn counter steering ASAP - it makes the world of difference to your ability to control the bike. Yes still got the old ZZR and apart from the speedo cable giving out but not bad as it,s just on 10 years old is still running good and am going to take it back to Phillip Island for another run, b Kawasaki have always been strong in this part of the market and their Ninja models are still a sought after machine. Was this review helpful? Well still have the ZZR and went to the supper bikes at Phillp Island and on the way back had trouble, you see I had new tyres fitted before I went and they left the spacer out of the back wheel an Mark posted on Nov 05, Mark posted on Jun 06, Yes still got the old ZZR and apart from the speedo cable giving out but not bad as it,s just on 10 years old is still running good and am going to take it back to Phillip Island for another run, b Mark posted on Jun 21, The will be faster with a larger engine in a similar frame but will also use more fuel.

I don't think the zzr has ever been sold new in Australia so it might be a grey import. Write a review Ask a question. Your trust is our top concern.

Companies can't alter or remove reviews from ProductReview. May Excellent bike love it. Write a review on ProductReview. I got this one new in it's the 4th one I have had, but have changed the gearing one up on the front sprocket and two down on back, fitted Givi side and top boxes and have cruse control for the long runs also have a powerlet plug fitted to the handlebars for the phone in tankbag ,the phone is connected by Bluetooth to a Sena intercom on my helment also to power the GPS and the newest thing is a camera I fitted for those on the road shots and go from Coffs to Phillp Island every year on it doing km to km before reserve at to km, the only trouble on big hills having to go back a gear to keep revs up but other than that a good small sports turner having used the ZZRs for just over 12 years and I had a GPZ before which I might add ended up under a car.

A great looking bike. At low revs it is a sedate learner friendly bike. At high revs it is a zippy fun ride up to about 80kmh and capable till kmh. If you keep the revs low you can get km on a tank but km is more likely once you discover the fun and power of higher revs. Be careful if buying second hand many people buy this bike while on their Ls skip maintenance, drop it then sell it on.

Learner legal - you will feel the lack of power on hills at freeway speeds. I have a ZZR, and have had it for several years now. It is a good sports-tourer in the cc range.

It has a 18L fuel tank, with a good range all km highway riding. I have been off my probationary licence for a couple of years now, and am still happy to keep my little !

From my understanding, Kawasaki have not changed much on the ZZR for the last decade so that provides some reassurance that they make a decent bike and not much has needed altering. I bought my bike when new in as my learner bike and never had a problem whith it in terms of reliability. I also used it after I was off my P's I was on P's for 1 year only as I had a full drivers license and was happy with it's performance.

Highly recommended if you are after a good cc bike. What's the difference between a zzr and a zzr ? Brand Manager for Kawasaki?
