View the Vendor Directory. Turn Off These Ads. There is no cheap way How fast do you want to go, it will do the speed limit!?!? Welcome to the forum. Your profile pic looks like you have at least 33" tires on it. Large tires and stock gears can make a Jeep a dog on the road. Re-gearing to match the larger tires will get your power back to stock specs.

Unfortunately, if that is not good enough, there is a bunch of after market junk you can put on the Jeep like cold air intakes, throttle body spacers, free flowing air filters etc. They will gain you next to nothing in performance, dispite the claims of the intardnet vendors. You could swap a Hemi V8 in it, or buy a turbo kit for about the same cost. Proper gearing will help.

Nos Stickers will help.. Maybe paint some flames on the body.. I like the 5 lb coffee can tailpipe extension. Paint it safety yellow, add some brand name stickers and wha la, 50 more horsepower!! Seriously though, regearing is quite expensive, so are engine swaps,, you're driving a tractor, not a speed machine.. Sell your 33s and get back to stock sized rubber..

If u looking for speed, your looking for another engine haha. KC w HiLite windshield lights. You could trade it for a used Subaru WRX I happen to have one of those laying around Do you follow Honda logic??

Go big exhaust Take out spare tire Radio Ac. Other seats Consul And If your really desperate Take out your carpet I've seen done of the ricer guys swear it'll make you go faster. The above recommendations to regear your axles are the only fix for the lack of power that was caused by installing the 33" tires. Regearing is expensive because it's big job that is complex enough to need a mechanic that is highly experienced in regearing axles.

I do pretty much all my own work on my Jeep and have a garage full of tools, welder, compressor, etc. With the exception of the big exhaust, everything you listed will affect power to weight ratio, which is actually important.. Wonder why they can build 4 cylinders that will smoke v8s? Everyone knows Chrome makes you go faster I agree with the rest, gears and then start saving up for a Hemi. Yeah, any weight you shed will help, especially when they do auto cross racing, when you get slotted into classes based on engine modifications.. Its similar to Nascar in as much as you can only do so much to the engine and still be allowed to race in your class.. That's why a lot of them go through the trouble of removing as much weight as possible, as insignificant as it may be.

I've even heard of people cutting bolt heads so they only have two surfaces on them to wrench on.. They've cut 5lbs or so doing that.. But IMO unless you're really into it that's a bit extreme lol, teach a 12 year old who weighs 50lbs to drive would be easier haha.
