INFINITI G35 Coupe Review, Ratings, Specs, Prices, and Photos - The Car Connection

What do you like about your Infiniti G35 Coupe? Comfortable Reasonably economical Good performance. Very nice design, a head turner.

How would you improve your Infiniti G35 Coupe? Needs more trunk space, Deeper. Automatic windshield wiper park when engine is shut off. One time close switch for windows and roof when engine shut off. Better rear visibility, especially when sun shines on rear window, it is almost blind. Better rear visibility for reversing.

Seat belt retraction, unbelievable on a car of this quality. Another hour of figuring at the drawing board on this problem could have fixed it. More gauges, A volt meter, and oil temp Better headroom in rear seat. Maybe should be an Infiniti perk when you buy the vehicle.

There should be no plastic, the plastic is deteriorating. Same seat controls on both seats. Make something useful of the rear seat divider, What is it?? A rear seat cigarette lighter outlet. Overall I enjoy my G35 Coupe, But it has some remarkable omissions. Remarkable for a vehicle of this quality. All of the electronic features are present in my Grand Caravan overhead display, which means they are not expensive things to implement and they have been around in most lesser vehicles since that time BMW 5's and7's and should have been on the G35's long before as standard.

Fit and finish quality. Really hot looking exterior. Lots of interior storage for a car this size. Flexibility of fold down rear seat. Great positioning of stereo controls on steering wheel. Seat belts don't retract properly. Better highway gas mileage - I don't get anywhere near what they claim. Very stiff ride on bad roads. Better positioning of the seat controls - they can at times dig into your right thigh.

I bought this car from a private party loaded with all the goodies at six months old with 5, miles on it. Overall I love this car which is a daily driver.

At 62, miles I still have the original front brakes a record for me , and only replaced the rears for the first time a few thousand miles ago.

I've got the optional 19 inch wheels with Z rated tires - looks great but this car eats tires and they have to be replaced every 20K miles - they can also ride "hard" and loud after K miles; also can't adjust the front end alignment. The car came with front spoiler, which lowers the already low front bumper - very easy to scratch up and expensive to fix. I would pass on this as an option.

The seat belt retraction problem doesn't detract from the performance of the car, but is a nuisance considering the number of times one gets in and out of their car. I brought it to the attention of Infiniti within a few months of purchase - they changed it but claimed it was a design flaw and the new one would soon be a problem, which was the case. The look, performance, body style, sound, the suspension the handling of the car is awesome. Brakes, tires, seat belts, the third brake light. This is the first car I'm having problem getting rid of.
